I would like to begin by thanking God for the many blessings he has bestowed upon my life. I would also like to honor my ancestors for their continuous guidance and protection. My journey began at age five when my mother gave me a guitar and a set of drums. I would spend most of my youth exploring them as well as the bongos, congas and a series of African thumb pianos. In my early teens I studied music with Fred White of (Earth Wind and Fire) and later attended the American Conservatory of Music.

While attending the Conservatory I met Midawo Gideon Foli Alorwoyie, a master drummer from Accra Ghana. Gideon introduced me to the Talking Drum, I also joined his group "The African American Unity Ensemble"; from this association I met and studied with Abubakari Lunna, a master drummer from Dagbon Ghana and a direct descendant of the creators of the "Luna" or Talking Drum.

While working with Gideon I was exposed to a new world of recordings and culture. Two recordings that had a profound impact on me were: "Drums of Passion" Olatunji and "Juju Music" King Sunny Ade, I was inspired to form my own ensemble "Rhythm Testament," to explore West African Rhythms and incorporate them with African American Soul.

In 1994 I opened "440" recording studio in New York City. "440" was a breeding ground of creativity where innovative World Music and Hip Hop recordings were made. Legendary underground producer Justin Williams recorded at "440" and was instrumental in teaching me to sample and record.

Over the years I have produced, performed, and toured worldwide with a variety of musical artists including: Guitarist Jean-Paul Bourelly, Organist Reuben Wilson, Ethiopian Vocalist Ejigayehu "Gigi" Shibabaw, Buddy Guy, Billy Branch, Mark Batson, The late Screaming Jay Hawkins, N' Dea Davenport of the "Brand New Heavies", Nona Hendricks, Will Downing, Gerald Albright, George Clinton, Me' Shell Ndege'ocello, The Indigo Girls, Sarah McLachlan, Sinead O'Connor, Natalie Merchant , Talib Kweli and Amel Larrieux. These are samples of my musical collaboration credits to date.

I have truly been blessed to be able to share my music and vision with the world. My experiences in television, film production, video production, and record production have been successful.

I have benefited from a life dedicated to God, family and music.
